This painted floor by Catherine Weis knocks my socks off! While I won't have hardwood on my basement floor, I will stain the concrete with a charcoal stain, and I'm hoping I can pull off a design similar to this. Amazing.

What's not to love about this door? An old door hung above the doorway to a bathroom. While I won't need a bathroom door for my space, I will need a door to conceal the entrance to what will remain the unfinished utility room. If I can't find an old door, maybe I can make one. We'll see!
